In 2009, Pittsburgh-native Brad Rea disrupted the tire industry. He founded Champtires to help drivers across the U.S. save money with high-quality used tires. These are tires that have significant tread depth left and could otherwise end up in a landfill.
Rea began the business as an online-only operation. He has since opened three brick-and-mortar stores, added installation, alignment and other car repair services, expanded into new tire sales and revamped the company’s e-commerce capabilities.
Champtires is now one of the biggest premium used tire sellers in the country. With more than 30,000 tires in stock, drivers rely on Champtires to save up to 80% off steep new tire prices anytime they need to replace one, two or even a whole set of tires.
