Tires that have punctures in the tread area can be repaired and driven on normally.
Champtires will repair tires and follows the U.S. Tire Manufacturer Association (USTMA) and Tire Industry Association (TIA) guidelines on how to legitimately and safely repair a tire. The method that the USTMA and TIA recommends — which Champtires uses — is a state-of-the-art plug-patch combination. This type of repair will last the lifetime of the tire.
Repairs will only be made in the tread area and never on the sidewall.
What Do Repairs Look Like?
